WE ARE HIRING.

Project architect with interior design profile

Studio A. Mogard is looking for an experienced and independent project architect who wants to help develop both our projects and the studio forward.

We work exclusively with private homes – from apartments and villas to larger estates with multiple buildings and functions. The assignments include renovations and extensions, new construction and volume studies in existing environments, as well as interiors, fixed furnishings, special joinery, material selection and loose furnishings.

The studio's work is rooted in classic and traditional environments, where architectural character, craftsmanship and history are combined with modern function and technical standards. The projects often involve complex cultural environment conditions, high technical requirements and great care for detail and execution.

The studio is based in Visby, with ongoing projects on Gotland, in Stockholm and Oslo. We currently work with an established team of consultants in architecture, interior design, planning and other specialist areas. We are now looking for a person who wants to become a central part of the studio's growing core team.

About the role

As a project architect, you will be an important link between the studio's overall design vision and the implementation of the projects. You will work closely with founder and Design Director Amelie Mogard, but will be independently responsible for defined projects, project areas and deliveries.

The role requires that you are as comfortable with concept development and design as with the design of construction documents and follow-up during implementation. You need to enjoy moving between the whole and the detail – from volume studies, floor plans and architectural principles to interior layouts, special joinery and technically coordinated solutions.

You also need to enjoy structuring work, coordinating consultants and ensuring that the right documentation is produced at the right time.

In the long term, there is the opportunity to develop towards greater operational responsibility as both you and the studio grow. Our ambition is to build the organization organically and sustainably. As the role develops, the team and the division of responsibilities should also develop, so that new responsibilities are not simply added on top of existing ones.

In this role, you will, among other things:

- Develop architecture and interiors from early concept phase to implementation

- Work with renovations and extensions, new construction and volume studies

- Develop floor plans, facades, interior layouts and details

- Develop and coordinate system and construction documents

- Follow up projects during production and implementation

- Lead defined projects or project areas

- Plan and follow up on your own deliveries, hours and deadlines

- Coordinate technical consultants, contractors and other specialists

- Ensure that design decisions are translated into feasible and well-documented solutions

- Contribute to the studio's templates, processes and working methods

- Be able to gradually take greater responsibility for project and resource planning

- Can work independently from concept development to finished documents
